Which Plant Where Module 3 Survive and Thrive webinar
Title: Opportunity Species
When: Wednesday 10th June 2020
Audience: Growers and practitioners
Climate change and increasing temperatures pose a major challenge for green spaces in our urban landscapes. Growers and practitioners alike are constantly looking for species that are robust enough to not only survive, but thrive in our cities.
Our research has been testing various species in standardised glasshouse experiments to see how plants handle hot and dry conditions and identify new species for urban plantings, giving confidence to practitioners.
In this webinar, we will share some of the research collected by the Which Plant Where project. We will explain how plant species were tested in the glasshouse and how we measured heat and drought tolerance. We will share a shortlist of “opportunity species” that have high tolerance and are not commonly sold or planted in Australia.
Please feel free to send this invitation through your networks.
